Tata Steel KZN is an Africa-based subsidiary of Tata Steel that is in the business of making high carbon ferrochrome. The company and plant were established in South Africa in 2006.

Areas of business
Tata Steel KZN produces 150,000 tonnes of ferrochrome from locally supplied ores. The ferrochrome, used in the manufacture of stainless steel, will be exported to Tata Steel customers in Asia, Europe and the United States.
