VSNL Q2 net up 3%
 
Internet and telephony major Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) has posted a 3.40 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 91 crore during the second quarter ended September 30, 2005, compared with Rs 88 crore posted during the same period of the previous financial year The Tata group-controlled company posted a total income of Rs 961.2 crore in the quarter under review, an increase from Rs 807.9 crore recorded during the same period a year ago. The company continued to witness sustained growth in volumes in all its businesses, with both international and domestic voice volumes posting growth during the quarter.
