Tata AIG General Insurance Company has announced the launch of their new policy Shanti which is a personal accident policy that pays upto Rs 1 crore in settlement of claims.

The premium for subscribing such a policy, where film actor Mr. Naseeruddin Shah has been roped in as a brand ambassador, is estimated at Rs 99 per month. The new product is an easy-to-buy hassle free personal accident death insurance policy where the customer is not required to undergo any medical examination or make any declarations of past medical history. The policy becomes effective from the moment Tata AIG receives the signed proposal form and premium payment. Shanti can be customised to the needs of the customer. Tata AIG pledges issuance of the policy as well as processing of all claims within seven days of the receipt of the required documents.

"We have customised Shanti to give customers a hassle-free policy", said managing director of Tata AIG General insurance Dalip Verma.
